Fertilizing a lake is the single most effective and inexpensive thing you can do to your pond to improve the fishing. It typically costs between $50.00 - $75.00 per acre per year to keep your lake fertilized. It will increase the weight of fish in your lake from about 100 pounds of fish per acre to 400 pounds of fish per acre! It also does a great job at controlling aquatic weeds and algae.
Our pond fertilizer comes in easy to handle 25 pound bags. It is a 6-52-0 (N-P-K) formulation that is applied at 4-8 pounds per acre throughout the growing season (March- October). You should have about 70 pounds of fertilizer for each acre of water per season you wish to fertilize. Directions are on the bag as well as a phone number for help if you should need it. |
