Hybrid Striped Bass (Morone saxatils x M. chrysops) are manmade crosses between white bass and striped bass.  They live 8-10 years, feed primarily on shad and commonly grow to 5-10 pounds (record fish exceed 20 pounds!).  They are hard fighting fish that can be caught on spinner baits, crankbaits and topwater plugs, but can be difficult to catch.  They will take artificial feed, so we can stock them in lakes with feeding programs even if they don’t have any shad.  They prefer hard water than soft.  We stock 6-8 inch fish in established lakes and 3 inch fish in new lakes. This is a great way to instantly create some excitement in your lake.
